from my special pioneers friends to stay over a weekend with them in their house .... we ve been friends since forever and they arent aware that im not attending meetings or fading..... i will really miss my friends inside, should i go to their house?.
I do my best to avoid "spiritual" conversations when I'm in that position or I remain vague in my answers.
Overall, my "friends" don't live and breath the "truth".
I think that's why I still stay socially active with many of them.
But special pioneers means they really believe this stuff. Just avoid anything negative about their beliefs. If you do go, I think you'll be alright.

If you don't mind faking. For me, I still would do it just for the social aspect. Otherwise, whatever.
But think about how you might feel after being asked certain questions. Is it worth it mentally? If you don't care then I say go for it!

just recently the org has changed the literature distribution to the congregation members.. the changes are:.
1) publishers are to pick-up their mag's weekly in preparation for what they think they will use that week.
2) group conductors shall now distribute the study article of the wt, and the km.. wonder why they have changed this?.
I'm aware of picking up the public magazines on your own, depending on what is needed for the week.
But as was stated in the OP, the whole thing about the private edition of the Watchtower being distributed to publishers by the group overseers, does not happen in my hall.
And thus far, no one else is confirming it has or is happening in their hall. So, is the private edition meant to be distributed by the elders only? That is my question.

I made a suggestion on page 9 of this thread about posting a reminder to faithful dubs about the society's direction regarding not posting on these types of blogs.
Well after rereading the article in The Independent, I realized that that direction was already reposted there by the writer of the article.
So if these apologists have read this, and are aware of it, and attended the meeting that discussed it, how can they brazenly condemn "apostates" of having their own ideas, while going contrary 'to the the things they have been taught' by responding to that article?

@ baltar447 - I don't think it's really old news. The elders in my hall never distribute The Watchtower study copies to the publishers in my hall. Only the KM copies.
However, if it is old news, then 'evidently', the elders in my hall are not following the slave's direction.

Perhaps someone should cut and paste a comment to the faithful dubs responding to the article.
I don't have access to the article right now, but something in regards to what the recent Watchtower study said about 'not commenting on blogs of apostates' sounds good.
You know, just to remind them that they have no business trying to defend the society because by doing so, they are going contrary to the FDS's direction.
